The 1st Forum was held 1984 in commemoration of World Comminications Years 1983 declared by the United Nations. This Forum is currently held twice a year as the International Communication Forum. The International Communication Forum planned for fiscal year 2015 will commemorate the 30th anniversary of deregulation of telecommunications in Japan.
